The Opportunity:

As we look to the future, we are focused on finding the best talent for our organisation.  We are currently seeking a vibrant, energetic person to join the Darwin team in the integral Administration Officer/Receptionist/Support Coordination role. This role is offered on a Part Time basis. 

In this role, you will report directly to the Managers of Disability and Child & Family Services.  Working closely with key stakeholders, both internal and external, you will enjoy the diversity of activities associated with this role.  You will be the face of the Darwin office, providing administration support to the teams as well as helping to coordinate the relevant and appropriate supports and services to meet the needs of people we support, enabling them to contribute to their community.

You will enjoy a role that can be vibrant and exciting and be able to effectively manage competing priorities.  One of your key strengths will be your excellent communication skills.  You will display a positive attitude and approach to work, be willing to seek direction when required and the initiative and creativity to transform ideas into actions. 

Essential Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate to a diverse range of people.
  • Intermediate computer literacy (using MS Office – Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Ability to take initiative and to work as part of a team and/or unsupervised
  • Current Drivers License

 Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

  • Lived experience of disability, or as a carer.
  • Completed studies in Office/Business Administration would be an advantage
