We are seeking Expressions of Interest from passionate and enthusiastic support workers to provide innovative, flexible, person centered support to people living with disability in our community.
You will need to be available to work a combination of shifts including mornings, afternoons, night shift and weekends.
To be a successful candidate you will clearly demonstrate the following:
- Experience working with people with a Disability in accommodation services
- Experience with Challenging behaviours, Autism Support, Suicide Prevention
- Experience with evasive behaviour and behaviours of concern
- Strong knowledge and experience with Community network
- Confidence and professionalism in your ability to provide personal care
- Ability to be flexible within your complex work environment as part of a team and an individual
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A current drivers licence.
- A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Availability to work a 7 day roster which will be a combination of shifts including mornings, afternoons, night shift, weekends and public holidays
- Have the skills and knowledge to cook and teach healthy eating
Desirable:
- Certificate 3 in Disability or related courses of the industry and higher
